Working with Noteworthy Designs

This past weekend was extra special due to the fact that I had the chance to work with Laura at Noteworthy Designs. Laura was the wedding planner for this extremely elegant event and it was such a pleasure working at her side. I thought I would post just a FEW of MANY details that Laura played a role in organizing, in order to show off some of her great ideas and attention to detail. The wedding was absolutely stunning, and I know that the bride and groom were ecstatic with Laura's work ethic during the whole process. I think their quote was "we couldn't have done this all without you Laura. Thank you sooo much!" during their speech to their guests. Held at the beautiful Desert Blume, here a few of my favorite reception details and ideas that Laura helped with. Of course I will post more of the actual wedding couple soon, but this post is dedicated to the wonderful Laura Hit with Noteworthy Designs. Thank you Laura for being such a pleasure to work with! The beautiful head table! I simply adored the floor length chair covers! They made the whole room feel so romantically elegant.

I love love love Desert Blume! The staff is exceptional, the room is accommodating, and this decor made such a beautiful place even more so. This set up is one of my favorites thus far. Simply beautiful.

This vinyl decal is quite possibly one of the neatest ideas I have ever seen! Placed above the fire place, this touch definitely added a "wow" factor. I couldn't believe how strategically it was placed .... not one bubble ... it looked as if it was permanently designed right into the fire place! This mantel was also an added touch .... adding even more to that "wow" factor.



Ahh, you have got to love the "after a wedding" look. After giving my camera to a slightly tipsy bridesmaid (lol) Laura and I were able to capture this extremely attractive look.

ImpaKt Makeup Artistry

Lately I have been working with a lovely person named Tammy Nunweiler. I had the absolute pleasure of helping her design her business cards, and watch her start her very own business (ImpaKt Makeup Artistry). Tammy recently obtained her certification within the makeup industry and has started a fabulous portfolio showcasing her work. Tammy is an extremely friendly, likable, ambitious woman, and I have really enjoyed getting to know her better. ImpaKt Makeup Artistry is a unique and convenient service since Tammy will come to you on your special day. Please have a look at her blog to view the beginning of her portfolio. New Website has launched!!

I am pleased to announce that Niki with Snickerdoodle Design has helped me revise and update my website. She did an absolutely fabulous job! Thank you for all of your hard work Niki, you are the best! This version is now complete with new slideshows and MUSIC!! yay! I think it really helps set the mood, and with the new gallery additions, I was able to add allot more portfolio work without bogging down a single gallery. You will also notice that Flare Photography is no longer doing family sessions, graduations, business cards, or glamour. I am now going to focus 100% of my time and effort towards my true passion .... Couples in love. Flare Photography will now be exclusively offering engagement and wedding services. I am also starting to offer fine art prints. Fine art is another passion of mine ... and it helps me maintain a balance between work and play within my business. Jen & Dale

This past Saturday I shot a wedding that took place at the most fabulous farm I have ever seen, located near Empress, Ab. It was Jen and Dale's special day, and was simply perfect. I fell in love with the farm lifestyle all over again! There is just something about cowboy hats, barns, guitars and cowboy boots that puts a huge smile on my face. I think you'll all agree that this bunch looked like a pile of fun ... and you would be bang on. What a fun group once again! In the midst of the well planned country theme, this wedding was also exceptionally elegant. Everything was beautiful, including Jen, Dale and their fabulous wedding party. Jen and Dale, thank you for letting us be a part of your special day, it was an honor ... and an unforgettable experience! Please enjoy a few of my favorites ... aka "the sneak preview."

Lindsay & Mark

Lindsay and Mark had a perfect day, perfectly suited to their unbelievable connection and love for one another. These two have been together since junior high school ... and their chemistry is still incredibly strong 12 years later! I love love stories such as theirs ... it's so romantic and emotional! I just love it! Their wedding day was equally as romantic and emotional as their love story. The ceremony was held at the Medicine Hat Golf Course, and it was beautiful. What a great location. Lindsay was absolutely stunning .... and Mark was very handsome. I think these two belong on the front of a magazine for being such a great looking pair! I had such a great time photographing these two and their wedding party. They were such a fun loving group, and I really think it shows in their photos. Emotion wasn't hard at all to capture within these two ... what a perfect match! Thank you Lindsay and Mark for being such a pleasure to be around. Chad & Devon

I could hardly believe how hard the sun pounded down on Saturday, but honestly, sun is better than rain (so one really can't complain)! Regardless of the heat, Chad and Devon had a remarkable wedding day! Their day went perfectly, and they really didn't deserve anything less. I can't even begin to describe what a pleasure it was to share in this day with the two of them. Chad and Devon were so incredibly relaxed, and stress free. They really did keep their focus on one another throughout it all, and their hearts were definitely in the right place! Their ceremony was icredibly beautiful, and emotional. Devon was radiant in her perfectly suited gown and Chad was handsome as ever! I'm so glad that everything went so well for the two of you ... like I said, you deserve nothing less. Thanks again for letting us share in your special day. Wishing you many years of happiness yet to come in your future together as husband and wife! Kevin & Allison

Last weekend I had the pleasure of being a part of Kevin & Allison's special day. It was a shear joy to be there every step of the way from their morning preparations through to their reception. Kevin & Allison have always amazed me with their incredible chemistry and clearly known love for one another. I was also amazed with the details and thought that they put into their special day .... the candy bar (color coordinated to their wedding colors), the specialty bags with their names and wedding date on them, the peacock feather center pieces, rose bowls, drink menus, and much much more .... these two really thought of everything! It was an amazingly beautiful day and Kevin and Allison were equally as amazing! Thanks for letting us share with you such a special time in your lives, you two were great!!
