Cara & Justin

This past Saturday I photographed Cara and Justin's special day. The weather was absolutely beautiful and I've heard that it was the hottest day of the year so far. Despite the extreme rays of sun, Cara and Justin enjoyed every minute of the day that they now call their own. The ceremony was incredibly serene and so is the love that Cara and Justin so clearly share for one another. I loved the prairie / farming theme - as I really enjoy surrounding myself with lifestyles that I usually don't have the opportunity to, or know nothing about (hee hee - canola Justin?) A special thank you to Cara, Justin and their entire wedding party. You were all such a blast to spend the day with and I thank you for being pleasurable company all day long. Cara and Justin, I hope that you had a fabulous honeymoon and that marriage so far (and for many years to come) has been absolutely incredible. Please enjoy a small sample of your day. Cherie & Sheldon's Canadian Celebration

On July 18th Cherie and Sheldon celebrated their marriage with all of their friends and family that were unable (and able) to attend their Jamaican ceremony. It was so hot out that day that it definitely brought back Jamaican memories. Earlier in the day we got together for a few photos with Cherie and Sheldon's car ... and after seeing this beauty, I can totally understand why wedding photos were a must with her. I very much enjoyed that the Camaro matched their wedding colors to boot! Thank you so much Cherie and Sheldon for including me in part 2 of your wedding celebration. The entire day was beautiful as were the two of you!! I hope you like your sneak peak! ps. This cake was absolutely phenomenal. The ground graham crackers made for very realistic sand!

Matt & Jen E-Session

Last week I got together with Jen and Matt to shoot their engagement session. It was an extra special treat for me to shoot these two love birds as Jen is a very good old friend of mine. Next June I have the absolutely fabulous opportunity to be a member of Jen and Matt's wedding party. Although I won't be able to photograph their special day, it was such a pleasure to be able to photograph their engagement session and to capture all the love, laughter and joy that these two share on a regular basis. Thank you for being such extraordinary friends Jen and Matt and I simply cannot wait to be a part of your wedding on Vancouver Island next June! I just know that it will be so incredibly beautiful and so will the both of you. You two rock my world!!

Angela & Joel

Angela and Joel had the most perfect wedding, which took place this past Saturday. I don't even know where to begin to describe how beautiful and perfect everything was. Angela and Joel are two of the nicest people that I have ever met and I can't imagine a more perfect day for a more perfect couple. The whole day was filled with laughter, tears and copious amounts of happiness. The wedding party was so much fun and they were really up for anything and everything. I loved the purple! I also can't get over how much I loved Angela's shoes. It always makes me smile to see a bride with colorful shoes. It's so different and refreshing! Thank you so much Angela and Joel for including me in your beautiful day. I wish you both (and Cooper too) all the happiness the world can possibly offer! Congratulations once again! Kari & Matt - Kananaskis

Last weekend I had the great experience of visiting Kananaskis for Kari and Matt's engagement session. Kananaskis is a very special place to Kari and Matt as this is where Matt proposed. The bench in the image below is the actual bench where he asked Kari's hand in marriage. I was thrilled to be able to capture this location that holds so much sentimental meaning. What a great experience! Kananaskis is magical on its very own ... but when you add this story into the mix, it almost makes me cry to look upon these moments.
