Kevin and Allison E-Session

Wow. Another great couple!! Kevin and Allison were great to photograph, as their fun loving personalities and love for one another shone through brilliantly. The locations were perfect, reflecting their fondness for Medicine Hat history and architecture. We had a great time venturing through down town , laughing and climbing. Kevin and Allison interacted with one another so wonderfully that they were an extreme pleasure to work with. I love seeing people in love and I consider myself very lucky to be able to capture such an emotion. Kevin and Allison, thank you for an incredibly fun afternoon! I'll definitely look forward to your wedding this August and I appreciate being able to be a part of it.

Jenna's Graduation

Last weekend was Eagle Butte's graduation banquet. I was lucky enough to have the pleasure of photographing Jenna and her family on such a special occasion. Jenna was stunning in her brilliant yellow gown and had a smile that will not be forgotten. Beautiful. We also had a really neat old pontiac to work with (compliments of Jenna's father) that spiced up this grad session nicely. Thanks Jenna for allowing me to share with you such a happy time in your life. I hope you had a great time at your banquet and party!

Lori and James Engagement Session

I just HAVE to add this session to the blog, even though it was 2 weeks ago, but I'm a new blogger and am really excited to tell this story.

On May 4th, Lori, James and I headed out to take some photos of this great looking couple. I was thrilled to see that they both were excited for the session and I quickl
y saw a connection between these two that I rarely see when I'm behind the camera.

Lori and James interacted with one another so comfortably in front of the camera!! They acted as though I wasn't even there half the time (unless I was bossing them around - haha). James could make Lori laugh effortlessly and these moments made great photographs! It is clear that these two are passionately in love and I just wanted to send out a special thanks to them for making my job so easy that day. Capturing emotion is easy when there is tons of it to see!

Overall, the session was a great time and thanks again Lori and James for letting me get to know you better as a couple. You guys are great! I'm looking forward to your wedding next June!

Starting my Blog

How exciting! I've decided to jump on board with the "blog trend." Apparently blogs have been around for quite some time, but I've just recently started to notice them more and more. I used to ponder the purpose of blogs and I've now discovered some great advantages to having one. Alas, I now have a blog of my own!

Blogs are a great way to keep clients updated. Everyone can now see what Flare Photography is up to on a regular basis. I hope this blog reflects Flare's growth as a business and that potential clients are able to relate to my experiences and photographic art. I am now able post individual sessions, updated studio changes, and just ramble on and on .... although I'll try to keep the info somewhat relevant!

A special thanks to Nicola Davison with Snickerdoodle Digital Design and Photography for suggesting blogs and designing my fabulous NEW website! Niki did a great job on the site and I really couldn't be happier with the outcome. I highly recommend Niki to anyone looking to design a custom website.
