Sheree & Ian E-Session

On Friday I had the great experience of seeing some old friends of mine again as we met up for their engagement session. I was delighted to realize that Sheree and Ian were just as excited about the session as I was and we really did capture some great moments because of it. The love that Ian and Sheree share is so vibrantly apparent in these images that I couldn't help but smile the entire time that I sorted through their photos. The laughter and love that they show in front of the camera I am sure only skims the surface of how incredibly happy they are together in "real life". It warms my heart to see old friends so happy and I am very much looking forward to being a part of their special day in October. Thank you so much Sheree and Ian for making me giggle non-stop and for being such incredible models to photograph. You are beautiful people, beautiful friends, and a beautiful couple!! Matt & Erica E-Session

Matt and Erica are old friends of mine, so I was very excited and honored when they asked if I would photograph their special day. There is something about photographing couples that you have known for a very long time that makes the whole experience that much more magical. Perhaps it is seeing them in that "lovey dovey light" or just knowing that after years and years of being a perfectly suited match, that they are about to share their union in front of all of their friends and family. I LOVE weddings .... and I LOVE being around couples in love. I can say first hand that Erica and Matt are clearly experiencing a love that is meant to last a lifetime and I am so honored to be a part of capturing it! Thank you for all of the giggles this past weekend guys and I simply cannot wait until your Fernie wedding in June!! See you again soon!! I hope you enjoy your very small sneak preview. Mike & Lindsey E-Session

On Saturday I had an extremely eventful and amazing day as I spent the day with Lindsey and Mike in Cypress Hills, SK. Lindsey and Mike were a dream to photograph. Their fun loving and energetic personalities shone throughout the entire session. Their love for one another was especially easy to capture as they continuously displayed what a perfect match they are. They braved cow paddies, rotten staircases, wooden door bridges (which didn't exactly hold up) and, by the end of the day, some pretty chilly weather. What an adventure! Thank you so much Lindsey and Mike for creating an unforgettable experience for me! I simply cannot wait until your wedding in May!! I hope you enjoy your "sneak preview."

Jill and Kyle's Big Day

Jill and Kyle's special day was absolutely fantastic! The day was jam packed full of emotion, including tears and much laughter. I always enjoy being a part of such a special time, and there is just something extra special in it for me when I know the couple well. During each wedding ceremony that I shoot, I have to consciously hold back my own tears of joy .... and this wedding in particular was especially hard to do so. Jill and Kyle are so clearly in love and truly happy that it makes my heart burst with excitement for them. Thank you Jill and Kyle for including me in your wonderful day and for making the whole experience such an enjoyable one. Las Vegas

Well I'm finally home from my trip to Las Vegas! I had a blast attending WPPI (a world wide photography convention) there and I'm overwhelmed with new and exciting information! What an inspirational time! A special thanks to Regan for making the trip with me and allowing such an adventure to be possible. I wish we could have stayed longer!! Stay tuned for a fabulous new blog post to come from a wedding I shot the weekend before I left for fabulous Nevada.

Bobby-Lee & Jody's Wedding

First off, I'd like to mention that this past weekend was ..... COLD!!!! Here I am all bundled up, ready to capture Bobby-Lee and Jody's big day. Keep in mind, I had on long underwear, a touque and a scarf. These are luxuries that Bobby-Lee and Jody didn't have .... so I think they win the "troupers of the year award." Even though this year has only begun, I'm pretty confident that no one will top this. Bobby-Lee and Jody braved the cold for the entire duration of their newly wed photos .... and although we took frequent warm-up breaks, I didn't hear any complaining. Wow ... that is dedication. Bobby-Lee and Jody, you were an absolute pleasure to be around on your special day and I thank you for allowing us to be a part of it. Enjoy your sneak preview, and I hope you are having a fabulous honeymoon in Mexico!! You deserve some sunshine after such a cold day!!

ImpaKt Makeup Artistry Session

A while ago a few girls and I got together will Tammy Nunweiler (owner of ImpaKt Makeup artistry) to get our makeup done by a pro. Although I didn't have the pleasure of getting my makeup done (the cons to being a photographer) I know I don't just speak for myself when I say we had a really good time! Tammy was very professional and personable, and as you can see from the images below ... very talented.
