Cassy & Kyle E-Session / Maternity

Cassy and Kyle's engagement session was a combination of some engagement laughs, cuddles and the soon-to-be new addition to their family. It was a nice treat for me to do something maternity related again (as it's been quite a while). I enjoyed spending the afternoon with Cassy and Kyle and hearing about all of their future plans for their family. What an exciting time! New baby to come, wedding coming up in June and many other exciting details. Cassy and Kyle are sure to set a great example to their new little baby as the love that they share is radiant with emotion and friendship. These two laugh and giggle so much that I really couldn't help myself from jiggling the camera as I giggled right along with them. I am really looking forward to being a part of your day in June - I just know it will be full of fun memories, laughter and moments to cherish forever. I hope you enjoy your sneak peak!

Carlene & Matt E-Session

Well I think this my year for photographing people named Matt - as this is the 4th Matt this year that I have photographed! Yes, I am amused by small things. :)

On a more applicable note, this weekend I had the fabulous opportunity to spend an evening with Carlene and Matt to shoot their engagement session. It was a blast getting to know these two better as a couple because the love that they share is fun, unique and magical. What a treat it was to watch them interact and laugh with another - this type of connection is truly one of a kind! After spending more time with these two, I am now more excited than ever to be a part of their special day next July. Thank you so much Matt and Carlene for being such an absolute pleasure to spend time with. I will always think of you every time my shoe slips. LOL. I hope you enjoy your sneak peak! Amie & Blake E-Session

Last Tuesday it rained ... and rained. Amie and Blake decided to travel from Red Deer to the Hat for their engagement session regardless of the weather. It was really refreshing to shoot in such circumstances by choice and the result was incredible. Amie and Blake were a delight to photograph as their personalities and love shone through full force. I had such a great time getting to know you both better during our shoot and I simply can not wait to travel to Cuba for your wedding next April. The contrast of a rainy Alberta engagement shoot and a beautiful sunny Cuba wedding will be amazing. Thanks for being such a great couple you two! I hope you enjoy your sneak peak!!

Matt & Jen E-Session

Last week I got together with Jen and Matt to shoot their engagement session. It was an extra special treat for me to shoot these two love birds as Jen is a very good old friend of mine. Next June I have the absolutely fabulous opportunity to be a member of Jen and Matt's wedding party. Although I won't be able to photograph their special day, it was such a pleasure to be able to photograph their engagement session and to capture all the love, laughter and joy that these two share on a regular basis. Thank you for being such extraordinary friends Jen and Matt and I simply cannot wait to be a part of your wedding on Vancouver Island next June! I just know that it will be so incredibly beautiful and so will the both of you. You two rock my world!!

Kari & Matt - Kananaskis

Last weekend I had the great experience of visiting Kananaskis for Kari and Matt's engagement session. Kananaskis is a very special place to Kari and Matt as this is where Matt proposed. The bench in the image below is the actual bench where he asked Kari's hand in marriage. I was thrilled to be able to capture this location that holds so much sentimental meaning. What a great experience! Kananaskis is magical on its very own ... but when you add this story into the mix, it almost makes me cry to look upon these moments. Thank you so much for a wonderful day last Sunday Kari and Matt and I'm really looking forward to your wedding in August! I hope you enjoy your sneak peak. Jessica & Jeff - Jamaican Love Shoot

Also while in Jamaica, I had the pleasure of doing a "Love Shoot" for my friends Jessica and Jeff. The term "Love Shoot" was Jessica's idea. She explained it to be an engagement session for couples that are already married. I loved the idea and quickly introduced the new term into my everyday vocabulary. I honestly believe that Love Shoots will become increasingly common among married couples and I am pleased to start offering these types of sessions. Thank you so much Jessica and Jeff for the great new term!

Jamaica was the perfect setting for Jessica and Jeff's session as they were enjoying their honeymoon while also attending Regan and Aaron's wedding (previous post). I loved the passionate emotion which was constantly radiating from these two love birds! What a perfect match! Thank you for being such a great couple to be around and for thinking of me to capture these images while in Jamaica. Byron and I had a blast spending time with you both and we look forward to seeing you again soon! Please enjoy your sneak peak. To view the image larger, click on it. :)

Cara & Justin E-Session

This Saturday I met a new furry friend. Anyone who knows me well, knows that I LOVE dogs and I love photographing them also. In this case, my new furry friend's name was Milo - and I honestly believe that he is the sweetest golden retriever ever!! Aside from meeting a new and beautiful puppy, I also had the pleasure of meeting with Cara and Justin for their engagement session. It is possible that Cara and Justin just may think that their photographer is a tad bit crazy after a certain discussion about spontaneity (ahem, yes the tree story). However, it was an effective "smile catalyst" and I certainly don't regret sharing the story. ha ha. Thank you so much Cara and Justin for being such a blast to spend time with on Saturday. I had so much fun watching the two of you giggle! What a magical couple you are!! I look forward to being a part of your special day in July!
